In 1979, Ann's son, Tim Tarrier joined the family business, bringing fresh energy and ideas. By the mid 1980's, as tastes and trends evolved, so did the company. We began chopping candy for frozen yogurt shops, keeping up with the growing popularity of self-serve dessert stations.
When salad bars started to decline, Tim and Ann pivoted once again, moving into portion-controlled packaging for nuts and seeds- initially for a QSR restaurant and eventually for other fast-food giants.
The company also began co-packing for some of the largest candy and cookie manufacturers, opening new doors to larger restaurant chains. In the early days, manufacturers did not have a bulk option, so the team painstakingly opened individual candy bars by hand. Ann's tenacity and Tim's growing leadership helped the business continue to thrive.
1991
In 1991, Ann decided to step away from the business, leaving it in Tim's capable hands. Under his leadership, the company expanded even further, adapting to modern technology and refining the processes. We added a special roasting room for nuts, specialty equipment for precise chopping, and customized packaging options for their customers. With Tim's vision, we became known for our personalized service, quick response times, and the ability to meet the specific needs of our clients.
